After spending the last 27 years of my life in the corporate world as an advertising sales executive, I have decided to take a year off and travel the globe. My mother 3 years ago said to me shortly before she passed “Geoffrey no one ever wishes on their deathbed that if only I had worked harder”. After my final child living at home announced he was moving out in August I made the decision to travel. So, on that note I’ve decided to take a hiatus from the corporate world to travel the world. I’m taking a gap year to find a new purpose.

How will my gap year impact my life personally

World travel will be an eye-opening experience for me and my outlook on life. I am looking forward to coming back with a different perspective, one that is broader because of all the new cultures seen throughout this journey! Follow my travel journey via my blog here.

I am looking forward to coming back with new ideas, stress free and ready to take on the world. I expect that my outlook on life as well as business will be much different. This is an opportunity for key learnings outside of what’s typically taught in school or in the workplace. I can’t wait for this journey.

I would like to connect with leaders to discuss current marketing, advertising and business trends in the respective countries I am visiting. I am working on a marketing and advertising segment on my Youtube page by country. But I need your help to make some intros. • Help connect me with volunteer organizations worldwide. One thing I want to find as part of my journey is more purpose in life. I want to give back more, help people, make a difference. I have been blessed and fortunate to have pretty much anything I want or need. It’s time to give back. I am looking for charity and community organizations throughout the world that I can volunteer my time to give back in any way I can. This is a part of my journey that I am very much forward to.
