Having travelled to 44 countries, including 27 in a single year, I know a thing or two about travel planning. Booking tours is a big part of my planning, as we all seek those epic experiences. I have a few tricks up my sleeve for achieving this. I use apps like Guru Walk and TripAdvisor, and I also book tours through hostels I stay at. They all play a role in helping me find excellent tours. However, many of my best travel experiences and bucket list adventures have come courtesy of Get Your Guide. In this blog, I’ll review Get Your Guide and share eight epic tours I’ve discovered through their app

How I use Get Your Guide to Book Adventures

Get Your Guide for me is a tool I rely on to book bucket-list-type travel adventures. Iconic pub tours in Dublin, a once-in-a-lifetime bicycle tour of Valencia, or a scooter street food tour in Bangkok—these are the tours you won’t find on free apps or through your hostel. When there’s an activity at a destination that I absolutely must do and I want the experience to be unforgettable, I turn to Get Your Guide.

This List Features my Favourite Get Your Guide Tours I’ve Done Worldwide

If you’re looking for ideas on the types of tours you can book with Get Your Guide, here are some of the top tours I have experienced with them: bar tours, street food tours, city tours, history, culture, art, along with some of the world’s most iconic landscapes and sites.

1. Dublin: Traditional Pubs Walking Tour with Local Guide

Life in Dublin revolves around pubs, and much of its tourism does too. This tour gave me the chance to experience Dublin’s pubs like a local by visiting some of the city’s most famous spots. We even got to visit an authentic whisky bar, where we enjoyed some tasty Irish whisky samples. If you’re looking to get off the beaten path in Dublin, this is an excellent tour as none of the pubs were in the Temple Bar area.

2. Bangkok: E-Scooter Night Tour with Local Street Food

Bangkok is world-famous for its street food. In my opinion, they have the best street food in the world. Get Your Guide has many street food tours, and the tuk-tuk tours I’ve seen look awesome.

I did the e-scooter tour, and it was incredible. We explored hidden street food spots, rode around Bangkok at night, passing flower markets in Chinatown, back alleys, water taxis, and famous landmarks like Wat Arun and the Grand Palace. Do this tour to experience Bangkok like a local and see iconic sights at night.

3. From Belfast: Giant’s Causeway and Game of Thrones Day Tour

This tour takes you to the world-famous Giant Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The walk along the iconic blue trail leading to the Giant Causeway rock formations is one of the most epic hikes you’ll ever do. On the way to the Giant Causeway, we stopped at a 12th century castle and visited Game of Thrones filming locations. This tour showcases the best of Northern Ireland and is worthy of anyone’s bucket list.

4.Valencia: City Highlights Guided Bike Tour

This bike tour is an excellent way to explore Valencia. Leave the beach behind for a day and discover all the top sights that Valencia offers. Some of the highlights included Peralada Castle, the Valencia Cathedral, and the City of Arts and Sciences building. Touring an iconic European city like Valencia on a bike is an incredible experience. I absolutely loved the vibe of this tour and highly recommend it.

5. From Berlin: Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Museum Tour

Travel isn’t just about visiting iconic sites, street food, and finding hidden gems. Sometimes, it’s a reflection, revisiting the dark side of history. Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp highlights the horrors of the Nazi regime and serves as a memorial for the many Jews affected by it. You walk through every inch of the grounds, from the housing lodges to the research labs and the ovens. This is a reminder of how cruel humans can be. It wasn’t a day I look back on positively, but it’s a day I will never forget.

6. Barcelona: Speakeasy, Explore Hidden Bars with Tapas

Barcelona is famous for its iconic bars, lively nightlife, and possibly the best cocktails in the world. This tour guides you through Barcelona’s vibrant Gothic Quarter at night, visiting the city’s iconic bars. Barcelona boasts some of the world’s top bars that create exceptional cocktails. This experience is a must-do if you love cocktails and want an unforgettable night out in a historic European city with an incredible vibe.

7. Belfast: Murals Taxi Tour

This is the famous black taxi tour that takes you back in time to explore Belfast’s troubled political past. This tour takes you to the iconic murals and shares the stories behind them. You cross the Belfast peace gates, which still close every night, separating Catholics and Protestants who divide the city. The highlight for me was signing the peace wall. If you love history, politics, and culture, you’ll love this tour.

8. London: Jack the Ripper Guided Walking Tour

I’m sure you’ve heard all about Jack the Ripper, the world’s most famous serial killer. I love true crime documentaries, and Dexter is one of my favourite shows ever, so I wasn’t going to visit London and not do the Jack the Ripper Tour.

This tour takes you back to 1888 when Jack the Ripper was terrorizing London’s Whitechapel. The tour guides you through the murders, sharing each victim’s story and explaining how the killings occurred. We explored the Whitechapel area and even visited Ten Bells, the pub where it’s likely Jack the Ripper frequented. These murders remain unsolved to this day. If you love mystery, history, and a spooky walk through Whitechapel, this tour is a must.
